Authorities from Hiroshima Prefecture arrested the president of Nagai Works, 39-year-old Nobue Katō, for the suspicion of violating Japan's copyright laws by selling unauthorized cosplay outfits, specifically civilian outfits from the 2011 Super Sentai series, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.
Katō allegedly conspired with his employees from March to April to recreate four jackets from the said series (seen in the photo are Captain Marvelous, Gai and possibly Joe's outfits) without permission from Toei, the property's copyright holder. Police suspects that the company earned 32,000 yen (US$320) during this period.
Accordingly, authorities believed that they have already earned about 300 million yen (about US$3.04 million) from sales of similar products. They added that Katō was selling more than 4,000 types of cosplay clothing through six online retailers under names such as “Trymax."

The latest issue of Figure-Oh Magazine reveals the upcoming Tamashii Nations Web Exclusive releases. One of new releases surprised me. Coming this this June is S.H. FiguArts Kamen Rider Cyclone!

Movie Walker Plus reports that the latest team-up film, Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger THE MOVIE, debuted at the fourth spot of the Japan Box Office Weekend. The film premiered last Saturday, January 19th.
“Go-Busters vs Gokaiger” didn't managed to beat fellow newcomers, “TED” and “Tokyo Family”, which acquired the first and second spot. Claiming the third spot is the acclaimed film “Les Misarables”, now at its 5th week. Meanwhile, top players last January 12th/13th weekend, “One Piece Film Z” and “Hunter×Hunter The Movie: Phantom Rouge”, went down to the fifth and sixth spot.
After almost one year, the pirates return to Earth, completely changed. The Go-Busters are in the midst of Earth's greatest crisis. The Space Empire Zangyack attacks Earth for the third time, and Enter is with them... what's their real goal? [Full summary here!]

The secret Ranger Keys from the upcoming “Ranger Key Set MOVIE EDITION” has finally been unveiled! The new keys were featured in the team-up film Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger THE MOVIE.
The eight secret Ranger Keys are Daizyujin, DaiBouken, GaoKing, Ryuuseioh, MagiKing, Flash King, GekiTohja and an orange key. According to reports, the orange key is the initial appearance of the Megazord Keys before they turn into one. These "secret keys" are scheduled to be officially announced on January 21st.
For a total of 17 Ranger Keys, the set also includes the Phantom Ranger Keys, and the BuddyRoid Keys. The Ranger Key Set MOVIE EDITION will be released on August 2013 for 15,750 yen.
