Idol group Momoiro Clover Z confirmed that the new Sailor Moon anime will be streamed worldwide simultaneously this winter via Niconico. The announcement was made during the Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Event #2 last Sunday.
Momoiro Clover Z will also be singing the new anime's theme song, entitled “Z Otome Shinsou”, as well as the anime's ending theme.
It has been previously reported that Fumio Osano, the Sailor Moon manga's Kodansha editor, stated that the new anime was delayed. Last July 2012, it was confirmed that Sailor Moon will have an anime remake in production and supposed to be coming this Summer of 2013, to celebrate the original manga's 20th anniversary. It is said to be a retelling of the original manga and aimed toward older fans.
